…because there has never been a better time to make a friend of mind…
onLine attend ‘live’ on Sundays 9.30 – 10.30am [Ireland]
and/or receive a link to the recording and enjoy in your own time
from Sunday 7 June 2020 (for 8 weeks until Sunday 26 July)
In Kum Nye we do not move the body to get into a pose, we move to bring the mind into the body. The motion leads us to a deep and illuminating stillness – a space where we can accept what is happening, and make changes – rather than holding on to tired patterns we find ourselves opening up and connecting with our experience as it is.
These simple movement and breathing exercises – suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels – give us a felt-sense of what meditation really is and help us rediscover the simple joy of living.
Register once for any/every Sunday to join the session live and/or to receive an eMail with a link to the recording. Click here to register
There is no set fee for move2meditate but if you would like to help fund my Kum Nye you can do so HERE via PayPal – thank you!
SET-UP; Do your best to be in a room where you will not be interrupted. Many of the exercises are chair-based, so an upright chair (preferably without arms) is good, with your feet firmly touching the ground (if the chair is too high, put a cushion or blanket under your feet). To relax fully we need to be comfortable so only sit on meditation cushion if it is easy for you. Set up your seat in a way that you can see the computer/tablet screen. For the standing exercises you need enough space to move your arms out to the sides and above your head ( and see the screen!).
Yoga mats are not necessary. Best not to wear shoes, barefoot is ideal, but soft slippers or thick socks are cosy! Wear clothing that allows free movement.
TECH; move2meditate comes to you via ‘Zoom’, a web-based video conferencing tool that allows users to meet online. You do not have to have a Zoom account to attend a Zoom meeting, you just need to download the Zoom app. You may have to “Allow” or “Run” the programme when prompted. Please note; the event will not be ‘live’ (there will be no picture or sound) until 9.15am [Ireland] on the day. If you are tech averse like me don’t let that put you off!! The process is quite simple but if it doesn’t work for you please don’t let it become stressful. If you subscribe to my YouTube channel you will be notified when sessions are posted online and you can follow the sessions in your own time.
REGISTRATION; you can register for move2meditate here. Zoom will send you a confirmation email with instructions how to continue. Please note; registration includes all the sessions, so register once and that link works for all the remaining sessions.
